Hey legends, I’m Janan — the bloke behind the bricks and the brand.

I started bricklaying 16 years ago, doing my apprenticeship with my dad. He showed me what real hard work looks like — straight lines, clean joints, and pride in every wall you leave behind.

Fast-forward a bit and I’ve now got my own bricklaying business with a solid crew behind me. Day in, day out, building homes and making bricks look good.

It was actually my wife, Sarah, who first told me to jump on TikTok. She reckoned it might help bring in a few jobs… and she wasn’t wrong. Those videos took off — people got hooked on the trade life, the banter, and seeing how the job really gets done.

What started as a way to show our work turned into a whole new venture — a community, a brand, a bigger dream.

And that’s how Leading Trowel was born.
A project Sarah and I are building together — a streetwear brand for tradies and anyone who backs the craft. Gear that’s tough, looks the part, and represents the lifestyle we live every single day.
